Memorial to Gem

Ch.Paquestone's 24 karat Gold CGN
June 26 1999 - Feb 16 2007

Gem passed away in her bed on Friday Feb.16th. She was my first Great Dane, my best friend, our pack protecter, our teacher of puppies. She is deeply missed.

Gem had dabbled in everything from conformation ( finished her championship from the classes with a group 4) to agility ( first dane to trial in the AAC I believe) and her preferred sport.....squirrel watching, squirrel chasing, anything to do with squirrels really.

Gem was diagnosed with Dilated Cardio Myopathy (DCM) on Dec.20.2006. She had been having regular heart checks up until that point. So far the 2 litters (13 puppies) that we had with Gem, only 1 puppy has DCM. But it is our belief that it is genetic so none of her offspring will be bred.

  Memorial to Azlan

SaltSpring's The Lion at InStyle
April 18 2007 - August 28 2007

Azlan passed away in our arms after contracting Parvovirus.  Azlan was a fantastic lil guy, he picked up things just by watching and he loved to retrieve balls. He was never taught this but excelled in it. We miss our little lion every day.

Memorial to Vodka  Can.Am.Ch.InStyle’s Absolute

April 21 2005 to September 5 2008

My little buddy, my friend, my shadow.

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this, for it is far too soon for a dog so young. While protecting his pack a tragic encounter with a stray dog cut his life short. He died in my arms while being rushed to the vet.

Vodka was a showman to the bone. He loved being on center stage, loved meeting new people and made many a person fall in love with him. He finished in Canada with breed wins over specials and group placements and wins. He finished in the States in 3 weekends with 4 majors. He was the #2 Smooth Fox Terrier in Canada for 2006 with very limited showing.

Vodka sired one litter and from there his two daughters who live here(Chatty and Fatal) and his grandpups who are due mid September 2008, will carry on his torch.

His personality was one of a clown, he learned the down command with a clicker - little did I know I was clicking while he was lying at my feet, so every time I told him to down, he would throw his body at my feet, no matter if they were on the floor, or tucked under me while on the couch.
He loved to wade in his pool, and while it was filling he would pick up the hose and position the nozzle so he could bite and snap at the water stream.

Obedient, loyal and always happy to do his best, his energy and force of personality will be missed everyday.

Memorial to Tizer
Ch.Trollhattan's Masked Mirage

April 24 2003 to October 20 2009

October 20th marked one of the worst days for me. The worlds smartest, most mischievious, and best bed warmer passed away.

Tizer did a little of everything, from the show world, where she finished in one weekend with group placements from the classes, to obedience, where she had a High In Class with a 188.5 out of 200, to agility where she had 5 Q's her first weekend out and was Top Starter Dog in Trial. She never did anything by half and always gave it her all. I wish I had known I would have limited time and we would have tried and excelled at so much more.

I am sure Tizer is waiting at the Rainbow Bridge, barking her hello to all that cross.
