Temperament: Smooth Fox Terriers were bred to bolt foxes from the den so the huntsmen and the hounds could continue the hunt. Because of this background fox terriers like to hunt any small vermin. They can be very stubborn, willful and they are very active. They can also be very loving, highly intelligent and affectionate. They are a high energy breed that is not suited to a sedentary lifestyle. Our dogs like to do agility and other high energy activities.
Size: The should not exceed 15 1/2inches at the shoulder and weight is around 18lbs for males and females are proportionally less.
Our terriers are trained from a young age, and we believe this is why they are such fantastic dogs. Ours are great both on and off leash and thoroughly enjoy racing around the acreage at top speed, once their energy has been drained a little they are more then happy to cuddle on the couch, enjoying a relaxing evening.

Tizer was born on April 24 2003 and she is one of the smartest and most challenging dog I have ever had the pleasure of working and living with. She has one qualifying score in obedience ( 188/200) at her first trial, and in agility she has 4 Q's. 2 are in titling, 1 is in snooker and the last one is in gamblers. We can't wait to start training her again and start hitting the performance events!
Tizer has produced 3 litters with us and you can see many of them on this page. Her kids are excelling in conformation, performance and family pets. Tizer finished her championship in one weekend with 3 group placements.

Maple was born on September 3 2003 and arrived in Canada on January 15 2004. She is a beautiful sft that has the most loving personality imaginable. Maple gave us 3 beautiful litters, 1 daughter is finished, 1 son is also finished with another daughter who is pointed. Maple now lives the life of a queen with her new owners Craig and Caroline and their sft Cooper.

Darcy was born October 19 2003 and was imported from New Zealand on July 1 2004. He is a very obedient dog, does what you ask and enjoys it. He is just as happy outside playing with the big dogs as he is curled up on the couch.
He has sired 3 litters for us and they are just starting to hit the rings now, with one son finished.
Darcy finished easily in Canada with group placements and has one US major.

Vodka was born on April 21 2005 and we knew from day one that he was a star. He finished both his canadian and american championship in 3 shows each. At one US show he was Best of Winners and ended up beating over 30 dogs for that award.
He has sired his first litter for us and the puppies are hitting the rings, with 1 daughter pointed and 1 finished with breed wins over specials. Vodka was the #2 Smooth Fox Terrier in Canada for 2006 with very limited showing. He has multiple group placings and has a group 1st as well. We can't wait to see what he has in store for us for the future.
At the Alberta Kennel Club show ( the largest outdoor show in Canada) Vodka was piloted to a Best Of Breed win by his good friend and junior handler Jenny Fabrik. Many thanks to the judge Mrs.Paula Hartinger for this win, which was over some beautiful competition.

Scissors - InStyle's A Cut Above the Rest

Scissors was born on April 21 2005 and she is a pretty little girl with loads of personality, she is the queen cuddler in our house and her feet almost never touch the floor as she lives in our laps. Fatal - Ch.InStyle's Fatal Attraction

Fatal was born on December 14 2006 and she was named Uno as a puppy. She stood out from birth with a "look at me" attitude and hasn't looked back. At her first show she went on to win Best Puppy in Group and made the cut in the adult group and that was only at 6months and 2 days.
She has been in the ring with her dad, Vodka, and she is giving him a run for his money. At a recent show she was Best Of Breed over a specials male. We are very excited about her show career. Fatal has finished her Canadian championship in May/08. She was entered in 5 show weekends, had breed wins over a special, and shows great promise for the future.

Everest was born August 8 2007 and he always wants to climb up, hence his name. Everest has gone to one dog show and he seemed to like all the attention he received. Everest is our wonder puppy, when he was 14 weeks old he contracted Parvovirus, but, within 12 hours he was back to his normal self. Parvovirus is a fairly common problem where we live and it is often from infected coyotes. It is one of the downfalls to living in the country. Thankfully this is usually a puppy disease, as their immune systems aren't as strong as an adults. So once you get them past the danger age, you should be ok.
Watch for our wonder puppy in the rings this year!
